Sea2Sahara is more than just a race: it is a great adventure in 4 stages, a stimulating challenge between man and the desert through some of the most arid and desolate landscapes on our planet. You will race on hot sands and stones under the scorching midday sun, and then face the cold winds of the Saharan nights, racing in the moonlight in the mysterious “Eye of the Sahara“. Over the course of 4 stages you will find yourself confronted with all the changing nuances that the Mauritanian desert is able to offer, from the beaches of fine white sand mixed with salt of the Banc d’Arguin to the rugged ascents on stony ground in the imposing massif of the ‘Adrar, from the cool oases of Terjit and Mhaïrith, which appear like mirages after hundreds of kilometers of dust and sand, to the high golden dunes that surround the mythical holy city of Chinguetti, the final goal of a memorable competition. You will be able to enter the race either as an individual or by registering as a member of a team of at least 3 runners. There are two distances that you can choose from at the time of registration, the Ultra race (104 km) and the extremely tough Extreme race (170 km). Discover them in detail:
Airport transfers and travel between the various stages will be carried out on 4 × 4 vehicles guided by local drivers, and every evening, at the end of the 4 × 4 journeys / at the arrival of the stages of the race, a Race Village will be set up by the Sea2Sahara team, with tents used as dormitories and common tents for meals and pre-race briefings
